the most emotionally charged movie scene of the 21st century had to be when Mongo the giant gingerbread man in shrek 2 sacrificed himself and fell into the water and as his giant face was submerged he intoned, “beeeeeee……..gooooooooood………..” i have never felt so moved, so inspired, i’m legitimately 100% tearing up just writing this, that entire “i need a hero” sequence is quite possibly the most perfect action sequence in any modern film to date

“But I was going into Tosche Station to pick up some power converters!”

“I get ribbed for that line because it was so whiny. And I remember at the time, I had to make it as juvenile as possible so that I can show how Luke matures later. So it should be embarrassing. It should be whiny and childish. But boy, has it come back to haunt me. I don’t think I ever got the chance to finally pick them up.” - Mark Hamill

#i’ve argued that since forever, #‘nah my favourite character is lu-’, #‘BUT POWER CONVERTERS’, #YES, #THAT’S PART OF WHY I LIKE HIM, #THAT WHINY LITTLE KID MARCHES INTO A CRIME LORD’S PALACE AND WRECKS EVERYTHING, #AND SAVES HIS FATHER’S SOUL, #WHAT HAVE YOU DONE LATELY (via anghraine)

I never thought about how meta Hamill got with his characterization.

Sleep tight, Louie boy. I’m gonna feel pretty lost without you but the companionship that you gave to me for the past 14 years helped me grow so much as a person, the love that i have for you will never go away and one day we’ll see each other again. I love you, my boy.

Save a life

Totes good data.

The part of this I don’t like is “they will most likely move on to an easier target.” Like I’m supposed to feel fine about someone else with a less sturdy door getting ripped off?

Change your neighbor’s screws too

I only noticed this precious baby after I’d been standing four feet away from it for about ten seconds. Its body wasn’t any bigger than a basketball, and look at how tiny its little hooves are! I had to walk past it several times, and it never budged or made a peep. If you find a baby deer like this, it is not abandoned - it’s keeping a low profile from predators while its mother forages for food for the day. Its mother will come back for it.

Important knowledge about wildlife.

I am glad that someone reminded me that this post exists, because fawning season is coming up. I’d like to add that if you find a fawn like this, I know they’re adorable, but, do not touch it. See how clean it is? No dirt, not a single tick? Their mothers very meticulously groom them, and it helps reduce their scent to almost zero. If you touch a baby deer, you leave a scent on it, and, it’s not that the mother won’t take it back, it’s that predators that might not have noticed the fawn before can smell it, now.

How do you deal with loss? It’s getting to the point where, tonight, literally could be my dog’s last night. He might not be awake tomorrow. I know they say that they don’t generally die in there sleep but, he’s not eating anymore, he hasn’t drunk anything today, and he literally cannot stand up. A part of me hopes that he does just pass away tonight, I don’t want him to be in pain anymore. Because he’s my best friend, and has been for the past 14 years. I just, I don’t know what I’m going to do without him. Everything is going to be so quiet and empty and just lonely. I’ve lost grandparents before but they were so distant from my family when they were alive that when they passed away, there wasn’t any difference. But when Louie goes, that’s going to change everything. How the fuck do i deal with this.
